A trip to the cafe following our learning of the story "The Tiger who came to tea"
We believe that children learn best from first hand experiences and try to incorporate as many visits as possible into our learning environment. Linked to the children's interests we have regularly undertaken visits to expand their learning. Trips have included our local Ecology centre for bug hunting, Pizza Express to learn about healthy eating and cooking and farm trips to get hands on with farm life and animal communities. We most recently took a trip to our local cafe to act out the story of 'The Tiger who came to Tea'.
We are very proud to have formed a friendship with St Judes residential care home.
We take a small group of children each month to visit the residents and join in with stories, singing and dancing. The residents love to see the children and equally the children, enjoy the experience.
Our trips all have the same aim, to be fun and extend the learning experience for your child.
In December we were lucky enough to have a visit from Chaplin's panto and Santa! The children loved watching the panto all about Red riding hood and the naughty wolf!
